UX Internships πŸ‘©πŸ»β€πŸ’»

Since 2016, I've taken design internships at various companies: a startup, a unicorn, and now a large multinational corporation.

I took on a variety of design projects and collaborated with a number of amazing designers, engineers, and product or account managers in China and Silicon Valley.

Though most projects cannot be shown due to N.D.A., let's briefly go through my journey of what I've learned and achieved!

 Early transition

_

After I decided to pursue a career in design when I was still a psychology major, I started to seek opportunities from other departments in my university. I took courses in Human-Computer Interaction and joined a UX project, OPENTHOS, in a lab led by a design professor.

I began my first UX internship at a startup, ο»Ώzhiwen. We made educational technology products to help college students and new recruits suceed in their early career. Working there for two summers, I collaborated with designers and engineers, first time enjoying delivering products I designed and creating value for our users.

These are what happened before I packed my luggage and left for the other side of the world for a formal design education. All above helped me get prepared in this unknown but thrilling territory. πŸ’ͺ
